The coordination gap

Inheritance does not stop at borders.

A family may be in one country, the will in another, and the assets spread across several more. Each professional sees one part. We keep sight of the whole.

International Inheritance Group LLP acts as the coordinating centre of the matter. We establish what exists, what must happen, in which order and who is appropriately qualified to do it—then keep the work moving until the estate reaches its intended destination.

What we coordinate

The whole matter, not only one document.

Every engagement is scoped around the family, assets and jurisdictions involved. Specialist work is carried out by appropriately qualified independent professionals where required.

Cross-border estate planning

Map assets, family connections and jurisdictional exposure before a crisis; coordinate wills, ownership structures and succession advice across countries.

Estate and asset mapping

Build a verified inventory of property, accounts, company interests, policies and liabilities, with ownership and documentary gaps clearly identified.

Probate and succession coordination

Coordinate grants, certificates, heirship procedures and local estate administration through regulated lawyers, notaries and other authorised practitioners.

Documents, evidence and legalisation

Organise civil-status records, certified copies, sworn translations, apostilles and evidential chains so that each authority receives the right material.

Asset transfer and completion

Coordinate registrations, closures, sales and beneficiary transfers through the relevant institutions, with a final record of what was completed.

Complex and disputed situations

Stabilise the facts, preserve records and coordinate independent contentious counsel where heirs, documents, capacity, ownership or deadlines are disputed.

When we help

Before and after.

The best time to simplify an international inheritance is before it begins. The second-best time is as soon as a cross-border estate becomes real.

01

Plan for continuity

For internationally mobile families, business owners and people holding assets in more than one country.

  • Asset and ownership map
  • Jurisdiction risk review
  • Specialist advice plan
  • Family document file
02

Navigate an open estate

For heirs, executors and families who need the countries, professionals and institutions to work as one sequence.

  • Initial case triage
  • Evidence and deadline control
  • Local professional coordination
  • Transfer and close-out
03

Recover a stalled matter

For estates delayed by missing records, dormant assets, conflicting advice or an unclear next step.

  • Independent case audit
  • Gap and dependency map
  • Recovery workplan
  • Consolidated reporting

A disciplined process

Clarity before activity.

International cases become expensive when every country starts moving independently. We establish the full sequence first, then manage each workstream against it.

01

Understand

A private initial review of the people, assets, documents, countries, known deadlines and desired outcome.

02

Map

A written case map showing dependencies, open questions, risk points, responsible professionals and a phased scope.

03

Coordinate

We appoint or integrate the necessary independent specialists, maintain one case record and move tasks in the correct order.

04

Complete

We track decisions, registrations and transfers to closure, then provide a consolidated completion record.

Case-led networkJurisdictions selected to fit the matter

The right expertise, in the right place

An international group built around the case.

No single adviser can be authorised in every country or expert in every asset. We create a case-specific team and give it one operating plan.

About the group

Personal enough to listen. Structured enough to lead.

International Inheritance Group LLP is a UK-based coordination and professional support business focused exclusively on the international dimension of succession. We combine a single accountable case lead with independent, appropriately qualified specialists in each relevant jurisdiction.

We do not hold client money and we do not present coordination as a substitute for regulated legal or tax advice. Where reserved or regulated work is needed, it is delivered by the relevant independent professional under clear engagement terms.

Defined scope

Each phase begins with deliverables, assumptions, dependencies and external costs made visible.

Case ownership

One lead maintains the whole picture, the decision record and the current next step.

Independent expertise

Professionals are chosen for the jurisdiction and issue—not forced into a predetermined network.

Confidential by design

We request only what is needed and structure access around the work each specialist must perform.

Common questions

Straight answers.

International Inheritance Group LLP is a coordination and professional support business and is not presented as an SRA-regulated law firm. Any reserved legal activity, including the preparation of probate papers in England and Wales, is referred to an appropriately authorised independent practitioner.

We assess coverage case by case. The decisive question is not whether a flag appears on a list, but whether we can assemble credible, appropriately qualified professionals for the exact jurisdictions and issues involved. Tell us the countries at the initial review and we will confirm scope before engagement.

Yes. Planning is often where coordination creates the greatest value. We can map the international estate, identify questions for local legal and tax advisers, coordinate the advice and organise a continuity file for the family or future executor.

We prefer fixed fees for a defined diagnostic or phase, followed by staged coordination fees where the route is clear. Independent professional and official costs are shown separately wherever possible. We do not calculate our standard coordination fee as a percentage of the inheritance.

No. International Inheritance Group LLP does not hold client money. Funds and assets should move through the estate's authorised representative, regulated client accounts, banks, notaries or other appropriate institutions.

Start with the whole picture

Tell us where the borders are.

Share only the outline at first: where the family is, where the assets may be and what has already happened. We will reply with the most useful next step.
